Egypt sentences five women to two years in prison for using tiktok, fines of Rs 14 lakh each, says women are ruining society


Cairo. In Egypt on Monday, five women were sentenced to 2 years each for using tiktok. They were accused of spoiling the atmosphere of society. Each woman was also fined three lakh Egyptian pounds (about 14 lakh rupees).

These women include Haneem, Hosam and Movado al-Adham. He has many followers on social media. Hosam posted a three-minute video on Tiktok telling 13 lakh followers that girls can earn money by working with me.

So Adham also commented against 
the govt by posting some videos on Tiktok and Instagram. Hosanna was arrested in April and Adham in May after the video surfaced.

The discussion started within the country
After the arrest of those women, discussions have started within the country regarding social division alongside conservatism. People say that these women don't belong to rich families, that's why they need been targeted.

"The arrest 
of those women demonstrates how a conservative society seeks to subdue people within the age of recent communication technology," said Tariq al-Awadi, a lawyer for the Human Rights Commission. the planet is undergoing a revolution within the field of technology and therefore the government should also accept it.
